Reza Barati Earns Two New Awards

The CPE Department is excited to announce that Associate Professor Reza Barati has recently been received two new honors.
Firstly, Dr. Barati will be recognized as a 2019 Bellows Scholar. The nomination went from the Department and was confirmed by Dean Agah. It states that the award to him “For being instrumental in moving the petroleum engineering program towards greater emphasis on horizontal drilling, unconventional resources, and shale gas production.”
Secondly, Dr. Barati recently received word that he will received a 2019 Regional Distinguished Achievement Award for Petroleum Engineering Faculty from The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). The award will be presented at the annual ATCE Meeting in Calgary, Alberta, Canada this September.
